Babies typically start reacting to their name by the time they’re 7 months old. Use her name often when you talk to her, and quickly she’ll make the connection between herself and her name and rely on you when you call her.
Each baby establishes at her own rate, so your child may reach this milestone a little earlier or later than another baby the exact same age. But if she doesn’t respond to her name by the time she’s 9 months old, mention it to her doctor.
