Allegra Dosing for Children

Generic name: fexofenadine hydrochloride 30mg.
Dosage form: tablet, movie coated; tablet, orally disintegrating; oral suspension.

Seasonal Hay fever and Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria

Grownups and Children 12 Years and Older
The suggested dosage of ALLEGRA tablets is 60 mg two times daily or 180 mg daily with water. A dosage of 60 mg once daily is advised as the starting dose in patients with decreased renal function [see Medical Pharmacology (12.3)]

Children 6 to 11 Years
The suggested dosage of ALLEGRA tablets is 30 mg two times daily with water. A dosage of 30 mg once daily is advised as the beginning dose in pediatric patients with decreased kidney function [see Scientific Pharmacology (12.3)]

Allegra ODT

Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis and Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria

Children 6 to 11 Years:
ALLEGRA ODT is meant for use just in children 6 to 11 years of age. The advised dosage of ALLEGRA ODT is 30 mg two times daily. A dosage of 30 mg daily is suggested as the starting dose in pediatric patients with decreased renal function [see Medical Pharmacology (12.3)]

ALLEGRA ODT is designed to break down on the tongue, followed by swallowing with or without water. ALLEGRA ODT must be handled an empty stomach. ALLEGRA ODT is not planned to be chewed.

ALLEGRA ODT need to not be gotten rid of from the initial blister bundle till the time of administration.

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria

Children 6 Months to 11 Years:
The suggested dosage of ALLEGRA oral suspension is 30 mg (5 mL) two times daily for patients 2 to 11 years of age and 15 mg (2.5 mL) two times daily for patients 6 months to less than 2 years of age. For pediatric patients with decreased kidney function, the advised beginning dosages of ALLEGRA oral suspension are 30 mg (5 mL) daily for patients 2 to 11 years of age and 15 mg (2.5 mL) once daily for patients 6 months to less than 2 years of age [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3)]
